Dale Nelson, AIA, LEED AP Principal of Nelson Architects. Dale has more than 14 years of experience as an architect, builder, and project manager and personally oversees every project. He is licensed in Montana, Washington, South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Dale has worked for some of the leading architectural firms around the country and is currently the lead architect on several large-scale projects in the northwest. In his spare time, Dale enjoys golf and four-wheeling.

Ben Erickson, Architectural Intern Ben has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Design as well as his Master’s degree in Architecture from Montana State University. He studied architecture in Rome and Greece and was also part of a team that designed two different conceptual pavilions to be located near the Coliseum. Ben worked for Kenyon-Noble Lumber and Truss Plant Design during the summers between school and helped in design, construction, and engineering. His great artistic eye, attention to detail, and skill with the latest design technology make him a great asset to Nelson Architects. In his spare time, Ben likes to golf, hunt, ski and travel.

Geoffrey A. Burns, AIAS, LEED AP, Architectural Intern Geoffrey has completed his Bachelor of Science degree and is now pursing an advanced degree in architectural design. He worked as an architectural intern for a year as the project designer for three elementary schools. Geoffrey’s education, experience, and passion for excellent design is an important asset to Nelson Architects. In his spare time, he pilots a small Cessna aircraft and enjoys the outdoors.

Mark Blom, Construction Manager Mark has more than 22 years of experience in the building/construction industry. He has owned and operated successful home building and construction businesses. In addition to his extensive knowledge of building and the construction process, Mark has excellent management, organizational, and communication skills. His expertise in quality control and project oversight is a valuable addition to the Nelson Architects team. Mark enjoys four-wheeling, camping, and fishing.

Tyson Kraft, Draftsman Tyson is pursuing his degree in architecture at Montana State University. He works during the summers and holidays for Nelson Architects assisting with commercial projects. His energy, focus, and knowledge are a great addition to our team. When he's not working or studying, Tyson enjoys playing soccer and camping.

Cheryl Higgins, Administrative Assistant Cheryl has worked for more than 35 years in a wide variety of high-level administrative positions. For six of those years, Cheryl provided administrative leadership to an architectural firm. Cheryl brings a wealth of industry and client knowledge to Nelson Architects, assisting our team with bookkeeping, client relations, and proposal assembly. Cheryl enjoys traveling, softball, camping, and her grandchildren.
